Luckily, the “OOH” vowel is not a particularly difficult one to transition to head voice in. I personally feel a very strong connection to this song, so when Sam Smith announced that “Lay Me Down” would be his next music video, my expectations were high. I should have known the music video for the video would ensue the same kind of emotion. Smith’s beautiful voice and the pain he sings with is heart-wrenching. If you know me, that’s actually not too surprising, but this was more than just crying. When I first listened to “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith, I cried. ![]()
